Mizner Park is the open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district along Plaza Real, on the north side of downtown Boca Raton, Florida. Its management office is at 327 Plaza Real, Suite 315, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Downtown Boca, the City’s downtown agency, names Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place as the two downtown shopping plazas with dining and living. This page answers the questions people ask most: hours, parking, getting there, what is on, and when it opened. It is an independent guide, not Mizner Park’s own site; the center’s visit page has the final word.

Mizner Park hours

Mizner Park lists its hours as Monday to Saturday, 11 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday, 12 PM to 6 PM. It adds that store and restaurant hours may vary, so check the place you want before you go. Downtown Boca also notes that the park area in Mizner Park is closed daily from 2 AM to sunrise.

Mizner Park says parking is free in its four garages, A, B, C and D. Its FAQ adds that all four garages have elevators, that the center uses license plate reader (LPR) technology, and that there are no EV charging stations. Valet is offered at three spots: in the center beside the main fountain, at the IPIC Theater and at Eddie V’s. Mizner Park does not publish a valet price, and it does not publish garage street addresses or time limits, so we do not give any.

Going to the Boca Raton Museum of Art? The Museum says the closest garage is Garage A, at the northwest corner just south of the Museum. For shows at Mizner Park Amphitheater, Downtown Boca recommends four free City lots: City Hall (201 W Palmetto Park Rd), the Downtown Library (400 NW 2nd Ave), Building Administration (200 NW 2nd Ave) and the Library Annex (350 NW 4th St). Brightline parking is not allowed in the library lots. The City also lists paid preferred parking on concert nights in the lot next to the amphitheater and at the church behind it, cash only.

Two places called Mizner Park

The name covers two things. The shopping district along Plaza Real is privately managed. The City of Boca Raton also runs a park strip of the same name at Federal Highway and Mizner Boulevard, with fountains and walking paths, which its park page lists as open sunrise to 2 AM, with leashed dogs welcome. If you are meeting someone “at Mizner Park”, say which side: the Plaza Real shops or the Federal Highway green.

Getting to Mizner Park

  • By train: Brightline’s Boca Raton station is at 101 NW 4th St. Brightline’s opening release describes the station site as next to the downtown library and across from Mizner Park. Service started Dec. 21, 2022.
  • By car: on FDOT’s I-95 exit list, exit 44 is Palmetto Park Road and exit 45 is Glades Road, both in Boca Raton.
  • By shuttle: the City’s BocaConnect on-demand shuttle (Circuit app) is free within the downtown red zone.
  • MiCa: Downtown Boca describes MiCa, a free autonomous shuttle pilot on a five-stop loop inside Mizner Park, daily 6 PM to 9 PM. We could not confirm it is still running in October 2026, and the pilot vehicle is not ADA-accessible.

Train times, bus routes and shuttle zones are on our getting here page.

What’s at the north end: the Museum of Art and the amphitheater

The north end of Mizner Park is the arts end. The Boca Raton Museum of Art is at 501 Plaza Real; it lists its hours as Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM and Thursday 10 AM to 8 PM, closed Monday and Tuesday. Mizner Park Amphitheater, a City venue at 590 Plaza Real, holds the Tree Lighting, Veterans Day, Festival of the Arts BOCA and other shows; Festival of the Arts BOCA puts its capacity at 4,200. Admission, parking and the full schedule are on our museums and arts page.

Downtown Boca counts more than 100 restaurants, wine bars and pubs downtown. Two in Mizner Park that we checked on their own sites:

  • Max’s Grille, 404 Plaza Real: New American plates and cocktails with patio dining. Its site title says “Since 1991”, which is the restaurant’s own claim.
  • Calaveras Cantina, 409 Plaza Real: a Mexican restaurant with craft cocktails. The City’s MiCa stop list gives the address as 411 Plaza Real; the restaurant gives 409.

Hours change by season, so we do not print them here. The downtown restaurants page has the full sourced list, including Royal Palm Place.

When did Mizner Park open?

The sources differ. The Boca Raton Historical Society’s timeline lists 1991 as the year Mizner Park opened. The Boca Raton Museum of Art’s history page says Mizner Park opened as an al fresco lifestyle center in 1989. Both are local institutions, so we give both and do not pick one. The Museum moved into its Mizner Park building with a grand opening on Jan. 22, 2001, and the amphitheater opened in 2002, after the City set aside the north end as a center for the arts.

The district takes its name and look from Addison Mizner, the 1920s society architect whose Spanish-Mediterranean style, Downtown Boca says, still shapes downtown buildings old and new. The story is on our Boca Raton history page.
